On the 15th of March, all Transition Year students headed off to Glasnevin for the day for a Holy Faith Drama in Memory of Margerat Aleward. We left the school at 10.30 and was only about half an hour in the bus which wasnt that bad. We were greeted off the bus by the happiest woman you will meet, Sister Susan. When we arrived there was another school practicing their play. We arrived early and had plenty of time to practice. Soon enough it was time for lunch and we headed off into the town of Glasnevin. It was really sunny which made it even better. When we had finished we went back to the school were the Dramas were being held and got into a huge circle , were we got a talk from Ms C.
Unfortunately our plays were too long so we had to cut them down but being cheerful ty heads that we are it was no bother. We practised our plays but we got sick of practising so we went over to a field and done some warm-ups with Ian. He showed us some great techniques on how to project your voice which was really helpful. After all that we were allowed go for a walk for a half an hour, we just had a look around. I must say it was really beautiful.
At 6'o clock we were all sent to the hall were we got the beautiful smell of dominoes pizza. We all got loads of pizza and we were stuffed after. We were then given dessert which was a selection of biscuits. Soon enough we were all getting changed and the hall began to fill up. The first performance went on around half 7-8 , the nerves started to set in. Around half 8-9 St. Wolstans got called on. After all performances had gone on stage , the main characters had to hold a candle while Roisin P sang a beautiful song. After all schools had performed, we were all given a booklet about Margerat Aleward and our school got a beautiful trophy.
It was over by around 10.30, we arrived in Esso Celbridge around 11.00 which wasnt that bad. Overall it was a great day and i really enjoyed it :)
