Beady Bits :D....

Beady Bits is a Transistion Year mini company group from class Amina which consists of 6 students, myself, Alison L, Bebhinn C, Lauren T, Davina J and Lauren M. We had loads of excellent ideas but unfortunately had to drop these ideas as they would of costs lots of money to manufacture. We wanted to make something that would be cheap to make and people would buy. So we decided to make bracelets.
We also wanted to do something good for like a charity. So we decided we would make pink bracelets and the profit of these bracelets would go to Action Breast Cancer. We got in contact with Action Breast Cancer and they sent us out collection buckets, balloons, ribbons and badges to help raise money for them.

Our other bracelets are just normal ones and we try to make them as fashionable as possible. For our first load of bracelets we bought our beads in Beady-eye in Bray. They were really nice , they gave us a discount and showed us how to make the bracelets.

When we started selling these bracelets we noticed a lot of people were buying them and we were running out of bracelets and beads so instead of going down to bray we decided we would go to Yellow Brick Road in Dublin City. When we went in we noticed that there wasn't really a wide variety of beads compared to Beady-eye but we still saw beads that we liked and they were really cheap.

We are now on our 3rd batch of beads which is great. We are making loads of money for ourselves and also Action Breast Cancer. We sell out bracelets in the science corridors at lunch times. We hope to sell our bracelets in Primary schools in the area. Im happy we done this for our mini-company because its great fun making the bracelets and selling them. It also makes me very happy knowing that we are doing something good for a brilliant charity.
