On Thursday the 24th of March, all ty's headed off to Dublin for the day to see Yb Yeats museum, National art gallery and National Museum of Ireland along with 2 teachers Ms B and Ms G. First off all Amina went to Yb museum while Emnett went to the Nation Museum. In the Yeats musuem we were given an insight into his life which was really interesting. I liked the way the museum was layed out. The start if the museum was the start of his life and as you made your way around you were getting to his older stage of life. We got to see loads of things like a bit of his hair and things that he left behind after he died.
After we went to the National Museum where we were shown around the Bronze and the Stone Age. We were shown things such as oars and necklaces that they wore. We also got to see the artefact which was stolen and put into a bin which was very interesting. Then we were shown the bog bodies which was kind of disgusting. Their bodies were all black and blue and most of it cut off, but it was really cool to see them.
We were then given an hour and a half for lunch, so we all headed to Grafton Street for some food. When we had eaten our food, myself, Ciara and Niamh C headed to Stephens Green for a bit of tanning.
It was so sunny, so it was hard for us to drag ourselves back to the Dail which was our meeting point. When everyone was ready he headed to the National Art Gallery which i could not wait for because i love art. We were then split into 2 groups and shown around the Gallery. Some of the paintings were strange and others were beautiful.
Overall it was a really interesting and a great day, oh and tiring :)
